I have kind of a thing for Ropa Vieja and if you’re here, maybe you do, too. I already have a recipe on my site for a long-simmered, Slow Cooker Classic Cuban Ropa Vieja, long a family fave, but these days, I’m all about the Instant Pot…and so I wondered if an Instant Pot Ropa Vieja would be just as good. Verdict: Yup, yup, yup! It’s fabulous.
That Old Lipton Onion Soup Pot Roast Recipe
Not too long ago, I posted out the recipes I have on my site that were made with Lipton’s Onion Soup Mix. Or rather, my Homemade Onion Soup Mix recipe. There were quite a few more recipes than I thought but there was one glaring omission. I’ve never posted it because it’s so easy, it’s hardly a recipe. Instant Pot Yaka Mein (Stovetop Version Also)
I have seen so many articles and posts about Yaka Mein, ever since Anthony Bourdain featured Miss Linda Green on his show, “No Reservations.” Yaka Mein first came on my radar in this article from Go Nola. I knew I just had to toss out a recipe for Yaka Meina. So here is my Instant Pot Yaka Mein. (Stovetop directions included, too.)
Yaka Mein has a long history so I’m not going to go too much into that because it’s been covered extensively elsewhere, like in this article from The Deep South. I am going to tell you to make it if I can be so bossy! And make it soon. There’s no need to lose another day without having Yaka Mein in your belly!
Instant Pot Beef & Barley Soup
Fall comes, the leaves turn and at that first temperature drop, I seem to crave comfort food. I actually have a list of comfort food. Well, not a formal one, but one in my head, and Beef & Barley Soup ranks high on that list. What ranks even higher on my list is this Instant Pot Beef & Barley Soup.
Mexican Pot Roast
If you’re looking for a simple dinner with flavor to die for, this is the one. Mexican Pot Roast. Perfect for a family, easy to make and a bounty of succulent, tender meat for dinner (and if there’s any left) some of the best leftovers, ever.
