When I posted a recipe for French Onion Soup Burgers using my Homemade Lipton’s Onion Soup Mix the other day, I searched my site for recipes made with that mix. I decided there were enough to start a little “collection.” How fun are some of these retro (and newer) recipes?

      All those ingredients are a good part of the reason I avoided Lipton’s for a long time. I’ve never done the beefy onion one but I should!!

    I really like your Homemade Lipton’s Onion Soup Mix recipe. We don’t get Lipton’s here and our “want to be” isn’t that good, so it is great to have your recipe. Nice collection your building. I use it mostly in a party dip which is the classic onion dip, but mixed with lots of chopped bay shrimp.

    I keep a quart jar full of the onion soup mix! I like it better than Lipton’s, and use it in so many things, but Porcupine in a Pan is a favorite here. 🙂

      Yes!! I do believe it was you who suggested the Porcupine dish! I love it!! When I think of how many onions I have chopped in my life! I should have used this a LOT more!!

    It’s such a versatile flavoring. I love to add some to meatloaf or to a pot roast in the slow cooker. I even throw it into a pot of green chile chicken stew every New Year’s Day. Your methods look amazing, as always. The hamburger looks divine!

      Oh, of course I perk up every time Green Chili is mentioned! I could live on it! Those burgers were good! And it’s funny, I’ve used the Onion Soup more than I thought!
