There’s no doubt summer is here, even in Minnesota, where for the most part it’s been cool. And there’s no doubt Father’s day is just around the corner, too, this Sunday. Father’s day always makes me think about being outside, maybe barbecuing, and barbecuing makes me think about ribs. I mean other than a big T-bone there’s not much more manly than Ribs! And if you’re looking for something different, take a peek at these Spicy Jerk Ribs with Sweet Chutney Glaze.
Well, I’m still in Atlanta, still waiting for my daughter’s wedding and getting all the treatment. A mani/pedi, a massage, cheese and wine. Directions on how to drive and park. (Kids, ugh.) Lemme tell ya, though, this is the life. These Cider Glazed Ribs I made a while back are all but a whisper of a memory, now, but I think they’d be fabulous on Memorial Day Weekend.
Here’s a new to me soup that you might like, too. Yucatan Pork Stew Instant Pot or Not. You might be familiar with Taco Soup or Sopa de Lima. They’re kind of relatives & share some of the same qualities as this Yucatan Pork Stew Instant Pot or Not.
If there’s one thing I love every now and then, it’s a really good spare rib. A good bark, great flavor, juicy, tender and a NOT fall off the bone rib! See, ribs should have a sweet spot where they have a beautiful “bite” but don’t slide off the bone and slap you on the chin! These Competition Barbecue Spare Ribs deliver on all points.
If you saw my last two posts, you probably knew something with a bit of barbecue flair was coming up. The Sweet Heat Rub and the Honey Chipotle Barbecue Sauce were a dead give away. And here it is, Country Style Ribs in the Slow Cooker. They might look a little gnarly but that’s good down home cooking and they are absolutely delish!
