Happy New Year, everyone! I feel as if this year has just passed in a whirlwind of activity yet at the same time I’m standing still, slogging through the minutia of everyday living. I don’t know if that makes any sense at all. Maybe it’s psychological. Maybe it’s getting old. Maybe there’s a non-English term for that. You know how other languages have the cool words for things that take a lot of words to say in English? Like Hygge. Or maybe I just need more Hygge in my life, and it is the season, especially up “nord” here in Minnesota. You betcha!

Happy New Year’s ya’all! And I’m saying that because I’m in Georgia (whoo-hoo) visiting my daughter and family. Unfortunately, I may have bought some Minnesota cold with me, though friends back home say there’s still plenty there to go around! It was minus 17 last night in the Twin Cities, with snow on the ground.

Happy New Year Everyone! The years just seem to slip away faster & faster! I’m still dividing time between home and the folk’s. I never thought of love as an “investment” before, but I can see how the sharing, caring, the ups & the downs, compromise & commitment have paid off with a relationship that’s enduring and has great benefit to them both.

2015 came in just as usual then went surprisingly haywire! At my age I’d settled into a rather comfortable routine – doing pretty much just what I felt up to or felt like doing. Now I’m dividing my time between two states, my folk’s home in South Dakota and my beloved Minnesota. It’s been a huge shake-up. New places, new people, new friends!
