Do you ever come across a recipe in a magazine that sounds SOOOO crazy you just know it has to be either completely amazing or an absolute boo hiss? This is one of those crazy recipes that amazes!
Grandmas Applesauce Cupcakes
Do you have old family recipes that just take you back to childhood? Maybe it’s a photo, maybe it’s the first whiff of them baking in the oven, or maybe it’s that first bite? This is one of those for me…my Grandma’s Applesauce Cupcakes.
Dried Cranberry Walnut & Avocado Salad
AARP. Who knew? I’ve been a proud member, according to my card, since 2015, but looking back I wish I would have signed up earlier. I mean really, who knew they were such a resource and who knew they had great, healthy recipes like this Dried Cranberry, Walnut & Avocado Salad? I’ve made several recipes from AARP that are winners. I’ll have to post more in the future!
Cafe Lattes Mabels Turtle Cake
This is our “go-to” birthday cake, Cafe Lattes Mabels Turtle Cake. It’s been made for and served to multiple generations of my family. Four, to be exact, and hopefully to a new one sometime in the future. This is the cake of our dreams! Intensely chocolate (and moist) cake with a ton of chocolate ganache and dripping with caramel. It’s outstanding and a little messy and oh so wonderful.
Harvest Wild Rice Salad Citrus Dressing
I recently made the Stuffed Chicken Roast from Better Home & Garden’s December 2015 issue – I couldn’t help but be inspired by their Harvest Wild Rice Salad, served alongside. Gorgeous greens, wild rice and a citrus dressing caught my eye. Toss in a few apples, pears and toasted pecans and sprinkle on a few dried cranberries or cherries and you have a salad!
