You might have noticed I haven’t posted an Instant Pot recipe for a while. I was in Georgia, visiting over the holidays, and no Instant Pot. Honestly, I went through withdrawal! But when I got back, and met a friend at Panera, I knew exactly what I wanted to make next!
So it all started when I asked the folks what they wanted for dinner. That’s like usually like pulling teeth, but there we were in August: temperature 96 degrees. My Dad immediately said “Swiss Steak.”
Awhile back, someone mentioned Cabbage Soup – in a rather derogatory way. Funny thing is, I love Cabbage Soup! Which isn’t all cabbage, by the way. There’s lot’s of other good stuff in it, too.
Lipton Onion Soup Mix. While the rest of the world might not be familiar with this product, I’m betting there’s very few in the US who didn’t grow up with it – and the old familiar recipes.
Awhile back I posted a bit of a cheater’s recipe for the Black Pelican’s Citrus Rosemary Brined Chicken. I saw it on Diner’s Drive Ins and Dives and just had to recreate it. When I made it, I simplified things just a bit; I used a boneless breast and served it with the Vegetable Saute. It was fantastic.
