Do you ever mess up a recipe and then decide that you liked it so much you couldn’t have it any other way? Well, that’s what happened to this Warm Farro Salad with Charred Corn from the July/August Food Network Magazine. It turned out to be a happy mistake.
I love mixed salads and you’ll see a lot of salads on my blog – many with wonderful dressings and an array of gorgeous ingredients. This salad is a simple side salad, and every bit as scrumptious. Spring lettuces, barley (or another grain of your choice) a few herbs, and a little Parmesan to dress it up.
How to describe this incredible, unusual chowder? Kind of a blend between Southwestern and “Up North,” this hearty, creamy delectable meal in a bowl is a family favorite. A quick note: while it’s wonderful with smoked turkey, I often use left over turkey or chicken in this soup and it is every bit as good.
