I don’t know if I’ve mentioned Not Your Father’s Root Beer on my blog before – see my Dad and I are pretty wild about it and split one every now and then. So when Dad said he’d like a ham, I immediately (and selflessly, I might add) sacrificed a bottle. Of his, of course, lol! (Fyi: plain old root beer will work in this recipe, too.)
For once I don’t have too much to say about a recipe – only that I became utterly enamoured with the idea of this when I was leafing through a Midwest Magazine. I was wowed! Perfect for fall, perfect for Thanksgiving and perfect for me! The recipe makes eight servings, but for these photos, I made a smaller version.
There’s nothing like the feeling of falling in love, and fallen I have. Wait – no news on the “guy” front – I’ve fallen for this Sweet Sorghum Vinaigrette. I hope you’ll feel the same way once you taste it! A touch of sweet with just a hint of smoky warmth, this is unlike any dressing I’ve ever tasted (or made) before.
