Way back when my sister and I were discussing what should be on the menu for a family get together. We got down to the salad dressing. “Honey Dijon?” I asked. It was kind of a new thing then. “No one likes that,” she said, flatly. But I didn’t say, “I do, I do!” And goodness help me, I do. Blogging is weird sometimes. Which I hope I can say if you follow me, and apologize for doing so you’re someone who just stopped by in like 10 years to look at this recipe. But I make food, take a pic or two (or like a hundred, hoping to get a good one) and put it out there. And it’s kind of like having someone over for dinner. “Will you like it?” I wonder. Oh the angst.
It seems like I’ve been doing a lot with desserts lately, partially because I just finished updating all of my dessert menus which took weeks! So, in way of saying thanks for your patience about post after post of desserts, I’m posting another dessert! Here it is, September already, and I’m in full on denial. Maybe that should be “fall” on denial! I keep seeing little signs, although you wouldn’t know it by the weather. Or the glut of fruits & veggies at the store. When I saw the Colorado peaches (imho) some of the best peaches in the world, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them.
