It’s so hot here in Georgia, it’s hard to believe fall is coming – but one thing that signals fall, beyond the weather? Great prices on pork and plenty of apples showing up at the store. That’s what inspired this Apple Sausage Stuffed Pork Tenderloin!
Georgia Peach Glazed Salmon
First of all, a confession! It’s been quite a while since I’m made this Georgia Peach Glazed Salmon. Almost a year. And I’m craving it again, although these days canned tuna is more our style, and we’ve been eating a LOT of my daughter’s Cheesy Tuna Noodle Casserole with Green Olives.
Gyudon Japanese Beef Bowls
As a Grandma (the littles call me “Amma”), I had kind of forgotten about some of the challenges in getting everyone “on board” with dinner. Especially now that I’m day to day with six very opinionated eaters. Gyudon Japanese Beef & Rice Bowls is something I trialed this week while the kids were gone, and I think it’s going to be a winner. Update: they loved them w/o the classic egg yolk!
Creamy Chicken with Sun Dried Tomatoes
My daughter introduced me to one of her fave recipes. It’s Creamy Chicken with Sun-Dried Tomatoes. If you search, there are many variations on this dish (and of the name, although sometimes it’s called Tuscan ChickenĀ – I think that’s an American affectation). More recently, the name Marry Me Chicken has crept in.
German Baked Apples Bratapfel
German Baked Apples Bratapfel takes me right back to childhood! I don’t think at the time anyone thought of them as being particularly “German.” They were, like so many recipes that were ubiquitous to the Midwest, just a part of small-town, down-home cooking. Baked apples appeared a lot-at our table for dessert.
