Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies have become such a classic, especially at Christmas and they came about by accident! It might be hard for some of you guys to imagine a life without this ubiquitous cookie, but they weren’t around until Mrs. Freda Smith of Ohio entered her mistake into the 1957 Pillsbury Cook-Off and won 2nd place.

With the holiday coming up, I’m craving what seems to be commonly dubbed Cold “Asian” Peanut Noodle salad. This is a great dish for a party, cook out or a potluck, Really, you never know who might show up at a party and this is popular with vegetarians and meat eaters, alike.

Monster Cookies
Monster Cookies are one of those cookies that I’ve mostly had from an assortment of big bakery boxes of cookies that always seemed to show up around work or school functions. You know the beat: Chocolate Chip Cookies, probably not as good as my Bill’s Chocolate Chip Cookies and maybe an Oatmeal Cookie, which usually are pretty good but pale in comparison to these Big Chewy Oatmeal Cookies. And then there are the Monster Cookies.

In the summer heat (and it has been so hot & so humid, here) I can hardly get enough cool, crunchy salads. Here’s a fantastic crunchy little salad with a little bit of a Thai twist. That this is more American Thai than Thai doesn’t detract from the utter deliciousness.
