I’m always getting great ideas from the grocery deli. I don’t necessarily buy, but def use them for inspiration. For me that’s almost better because not only can I usually make something similar at home, like this Spicy Thai Noodle Salad cheaper, I can customize to my taste and any dietary needs, too.
Once summer comes I don’t think of food in the same way, and this year is no exception. Maybe this year, 2020 is the year more of us will be thinking about food a lot differently. I’m finding myself relaxing the rules, moving more and more away from the idea of “square meals” and trying to have more fun. There’s not much that’s more fun than these Easy Honey Garlic Chicken Wings.
I remember one year before my Christmas baking, I just had it in my head that I had to have Crystallized Candied Ginger for a cake I was baking. That was back in the ’90s and it had become kind of a trendy ingredient, except where I lived! I couldn’t find it. Now it’s available in many stores or online, but Homemade Crystallized Candied Ginger is super easy to make at home; it just takes a bit of ginger, a bit of sugar and a bit of time.
Now I’m not normally a huge chicken wing fan. I’ll usually have a token one or two, but this is THE recipe that changed my mind. That being said, Thai Chicken Wings are not your typical chicken wings. And I can’t wait to get home to Minnesota and try this out on my son, Kraig. Now there’s someone who can really put down a few (dozen) wings! (Update: I did get a chance and he loooooved them!)
