peeps oreo & white chocolate pretzel bunny bait popcorn
An addictive blend of Peeps Oreos, m&m’s, pretzels & popcorn all melded together with white chocolate for a delicious treat.
Ingredients
- 8 cups popped popcorn, about 1/4 cup raw kernels cooked as desired
- salt
- 2 large handfuls stick pretzels (about 2 cups) lightly crushed
- 10 Peeps Oreo cookies, cut into small pieces (about 9 pieces per cookie)
- 1/2 (11.40 ounce) bag Easter m&m’s
- 1 package white chocolate chips
- sanding sugar, optional, in colors of pink, lavender, blue
Instructions
Lay the popcorn out on a large or two smaller sheet trays. Sprinkle with a little salt. Strew the pretzels, cookies & m&m’s over the top of the popcorn.
Place the white chocolate chips in a microwave container and microwave for 1 minute. Stir. Replace and microwave at 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until most of the chocolate is melted. Err on the side of caution and do not overheat. Continue to stir and the remainder of the chocolate should melt. If not, heat a few seconds longer.
Drizzle and drop over the popcorn mixture. Turn with a spatula, gently mixing, aiming to get the smaller pieces coated.
If desired, sprinkle with sanding sugar, but don’t mix after sprinkling or it won’t show up on the finished popcorn.
After it cools, use a thin spatula to release the mixture from the bottom of the pan and then with clean hands, break into small, bite-sized clumps.
