Ingredients

  • 1 banana cut in 8 pieces
  • 16 ounces fruit (this is about 3 1/2 cups of berries) *
  • 1 cup liquid (juice, milk, or 1/2 and 1/2, or use half yogurt and half juice)
  • Squeeze (about 2 teaspoons) of citrus
  • 2 ice cubes (about 1 1/2 oz each)
  • pinch of salt, optional
  • sugar as desired, optional

Instructions

Line a baking sheet with parchment. Arrange banana slices and prepared berries in a single layer. Freeze until very cold but not frozen solid, about 10 minutes.

Blend all ingredients till smooth. Taste for sugar; add if needed. Serve immediately.

Note: If your berries are already frozen, use as is and don’t freeze the banana.
