Thanksgiving Leftovers – The Ultimate Turkey Leftovers Guide

Thanksgiving Leftovers: Are you with me that the leftovers are better than the meal? Here's some inspiration!

Reposted for 2016: I hope you’ve had a great Thanksgiving and if you’re like me, you’re looking at the last of the leftovers thinking you really need to do something about them, now! I already have a post, my 12 Days of Turkey, with links to some of my favorite leftover Turkey dishes, but here’s your visual companion to it plus a few more! Each one better than the original turkey, if you ask me! 🙂

Of course, any recipe made with Chicken can be made just as easily with Turkey. I apologize, I haven’t figured out how to link the photos back to the original post, but click on any photo in the gallery, below, and you’ll be able to see & click on the url’s underneath the photo.

Many are on the 12 Days of Turkey post and others are sprinkled around my menu under casseroles, sandwiches, salads & soups.

If you’re looking for fabulously frugal recipes for your leftover ham, look no further than my 12 Days of Ham!

I’ll also be sharing at Fiesta Friday, hosted this week by Julianna @ Foodie On Board and Hilda @ Along The Grapevine, and Saucy Saturdays. Saucy Saturdays is hosted by four incredible bloggers: Dina, Jennifer, Christine & Swayum.

    • lol! I need a better camera and more time to take pictures…but I can tell a difference in the pics. Like here’s where I learned to filter, here’s where I figured out light, here’s where I learned how to edit for white value, lol!!

    • Hi, and thanks for stopping by! I appreciate the lovely comment and feel bad you have no turkey there, but of course, you make up for it with a marvelous food culture of your own!

In the twin cities (Minneapolis/St Paul, Minnesota) we have a good population of people with Swedish descent and the American Swedish Institute http://www.asimn.org/ so I have sampled various Swedish food over the years!

  1. Your leftover recipes look amazing! I see why you say they are better than the original turkey. I sent the last of the leftovers with my husband for lunch today, but I think he would rather have had them in the form of one of these recipes! 🙂 I do have a turkey in the freezer, though, so will keep them in mind.

    • Thanks, Shari – we have another stashed away, too! Who knows, maybe I’ll be adding yet another one!

And since you’re from AZ, one of my favorite things is a turkey green chili but I’ve never worked out a recipe with measurements for it…

    • Thanks! We’re having scalloped potatoes tonight and my Dad just had a huge slice of the Turkey B’Steeya – he’s watching the basketball game. He’s going to be ready for a steak, hamburger or chili soon! 🙂
