    • Thanks! I’m glad you asked about the comment, and with the recent focus and huge popularity of Ramen dishes here in the US, it could seem odd.

      That is one thrown in by young niece – and of course she isn’t referring to Ramen so much, but the practice of young kids (like my son, who buys huge packages of individual packs at Aldi) and college kids living off of and doctoring up the 20 cent packets of Ramen noodles/soup mixes with hot sauce.

      I had to include it because it made me laugh when she said it, but perhaps in retrospect it reflects badly. Badly on Ramen, and poverty really isn’t a joking matter.
